Prompting for video · Lesson 4 of 4
Animating a start frame
With an image, describe the motion — not the picture. · 3 min read
When you give a video model a start frame, it already knows what everything looks like. Spending the prompt re-describing the image wastes it and can pull the result away from your frame.
Describe what moves and how: "she turns towards the camera as snow starts to fall", "steam rises from the cup, the camera slowly pushes in".
A good way to control a shot precisely is to make the frame in the Image studio first, then animate it. In Cinema Studio, the Frame button does both steps for you.
